popular race MADBLUE 2023

More than a thousand people joined the 2nd edition of the popular Run for the Earth race that took place on 8 October in the heart of Madrid, Parque del Oeste, as part of the official agenda of Hispanidad 2023.

With distances of 5 and 10K, the aim of Run for the Earth is to raise awareness through sport, in this case running, of the importance of taking care of our environment and preserving it.

The first place for women in the 5k was won by Ana María del Cerro with 19:58 minutes, followed by Beatriz Aparicio (20:33) and Lydia García who crossed the finish line at 22:39 minutes. The male winners were Saúl Hernández (16:00), Joseba López (17:29) and Carlos Morales de Juana (17:45). In the 10k, the first three places in the women’s category corresponded to Noelia Sabugo (38:03), Noemí Martínez (38:46) and Carmen Carranza (42:41) and in the men’s category, to Mohcen Elbaz Elbaz (31:39), Pablo Arias (33:07) and Ignacio Gelabert (33:31).

They were presented with their prizes by Vice-Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sport, Mr. Daniel Martínez Rodríguez, General Director of Cultural Promotion of the Community of Madrid, Gonzalo Cabrera and Luis Prieto, founder and CEO of MadBlue.

5km and 10km circuits, starting and finishing at Paseo Camoens in Madrid. 
Two laps of the 10km course.

* Under no circumstances will it be possible to collect the race bib and T-shirt outside the established timetable. In case of not being able to attend in person, someone can pick up your runner’s bag showing your proof of attendance.
